Motivation

I would like to invite you to participate in Motivational Mondays. I know several women that have fantastic stories of weight loss, strength gains, and positive attitude changes! All because of a decision that they have made to clean up their diet, or start an exercise program!

I would like to feature a different story every Monday. If you would like to be featured on my blog, please email me at tfriedt@embarqmail.com  your story and a before and after picture, if you wish to be seen.

Come on celebrate your accomplishments! You ARE worth every piece of confetti!

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

  1. I will share a little secret about finding inner strength and motivation. Scene was an early morning summer bootcamp at the Y. First thing Tammy said was "OK. How does everyone feel about running to Ehrman Farms?" I must have had sheer panic written all over my face. She said "Chrissy, you can do this." I thought...oh my. How am I ever going to keep up with all these daddy long legged people?! We start running. I'm already complaining 50 feet out and running downhill! What a big sissy. Our lovely trainer decides to run behind me and boost me up the hill. I hate every minute of this. I had an all out breathing attack by getting myself worked up over nothing. I eventually made it back 10 minutes later than the group. In that moment of hyperventilating I decided I would turn something negative into a goal. I kept running during the summer bootcamps (and not liking a minute of it) and then graduated to running Saturday mornings with Melissa Gettel (she rocks too!). I completed my first 5k last Sunday. The Great race. Woo-Hoo! Chrissy go! My motivation came from within. Replaying that day in my head was enough to push me through the uncomfortable part of running. Hearing my friend's confidence in me made me realize I need to have the same confidence in myself. Running has turned into something I enjoy. Never thought I would say that – thanks Melissa! And of course a huge thanks to Tammy. Both always motivators and supportive!
